SAFE Action is volunteer-powered. These are the roles we need filled right now. Remote, flexible, and directly on the front line of defending science-based public health policy.
Social Media Manager (Volunteer)
OPEN ROLEWe are looking for someone to own SAFE Action's social media presence. Not assist with it. Own it. You'll build our channels from the ground up at the moment the organization is launching, with full creative involvement and a direct line to leadership.
What you'll do
- Run our accounts across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, and the platforms you make the case for
- Publish and cross-post our video content (we have a video editor; you handle distribution, captions, timing, and hooks)
- Grow an audience for science-based public health advocacy and drive volunteers to our campaigns
- Engage the community: replies, DMs, comment strategy
- Report simple growth metrics monthly and adjust strategy with the team
You might be a fit if
- You live on at least one short-form platform and understand what makes content travel
- You can write a hook in twelve words or fewer
- You care about science, public health, and pushing back on misinformation
- You can commit a few hours a week, consistently
No formal social media job experience required. If you've grown an account of your own, that counts. Students and early-career folks welcome.
